1. Who we are, and what this covers

SnapGPX ("the App") is an iOS app developed and operated by an independent developer based in Spain. These terms govern your use of the App and of this website. By installing or using the App, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

How we handle your data is described separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

2. What the App does

The App reads workouts you recorded in Apple Health, shows them on your device, and turns the ones you choose into GPX, TCX or FIT files. You can save or share those files yourself, or — if you connect your Strava account — upload them to Strava from within the App.

The App needs your permission to read from Apple Health, and it works only with the workouts Health makes available to it. It does not record workouts, and it does not write anything back to Apple Health.

3. Your data stays yours

Your workouts, your routes and the files exported from them are yours. Using the App grants us no ownership of them and no licence to use them. We do not receive copies: files are generated on your device, and no workout is uploaded anywhere unless you ask for it. What does leave on its own — anonymous usage analytics, and the coordinates Apple turns into a city name — is described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Strava

Strava is a separate service operated by Strava, Inc. SnapGPX is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Strava. Connecting your Strava account is optional and entirely up to you.

When you connect it, your use of Strava remains governed by Strava's own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for Strava's availability, for how it processes an upload, or for changes it makes to its service or its API. You can disconnect at any time from the App's settings, which asks Strava to revoke the authorization and deletes the stored tokens from your device. If that request cannot reach Strava, the tokens are still deleted here, so revoke SnapGPX from your Strava account settings if you want to be certain.

Uploading through the App does not create a Strava account for you, and it grants the App no ability to read your Strava activities: it asks Strava for permission to write activities only.

5. Paid features

The App is currently free to use. If paid features are introduced, they will be sold as in-app purchases through Apple's App Store, and Apple's terms will govern payment, receipts and refunds. Prices and what a purchase includes will be stated in the App before you buy. Nothing in these terms obliges us to keep any particular feature free or paid.

6. Acceptable use

Use the App for your own workout data. Do not attempt to decompile, reverse-engineer or tamper with it beyond what the law expressly allows, do not use it to upload data that is not yours or that you have no right to share, and do not use it in a way that breaks Strava's terms, Apple's terms, or the law where you are.

7. Accuracy, and what the App is not for

The App converts the data Apple Health gives it. The accuracy of distance, elevation, GPS coordinates, heart rate and every other value depends on the device that recorded the workout, not on the App, and conversion between file formats can round or omit values that a format cannot represent.

Exported files are for record-keeping, analysis and sharing. Do not rely on them for navigation, for medical or diagnostic purposes, for competition scoring, or for any situation where an inaccurate value could put someone at risk.

8. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded, in which case the exclusions above apply only as far as the law permits.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for loss arising from your use of exported files or from a third-party service such as Strava or Apple. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or the statutory rights you have as a consumer.

10. Changes to the App and to these terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue features of the App, and we may update these terms. When we update them, the revised version is posted at this URL with a new date. If a change is significant, we will say so in the App or on this site. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the revised terms.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it, which removes its local data. Your Strava tokens are the exception: they live in your device's Keychain, which iOS keeps when an app is deleted, so disconnect Strava from the App's settings before you delete it — or revoke SnapGPX from your Strava account settings afterwards. Uninstalling does not delete workouts from Apple Health or activities already uploaded to Strava — those are managed in Health and in Strava respectively.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings before the courts there.
